If you’re curious about meditation and think you might benefit from a little extra mindfulness but unsure about what kind of practice to do, this course is a great place to start. You’ll learn a variety of techniques including methods for incorporating mindfulness into everyday life. You’ll leave with an understanding of the core concepts of meditation practices, the science behind why they work and the fundamental components of different traditions. You’ll know what works best for you and how to start and maintain a mindfulness practice.

If you already have meditation experience, you’ll learn skills to support and deepen your practice and gain exposure to different techniques that you may not have tried.

This course is based on Unified Mindfulness, and taught by Certified UM Level 2 coach John Watson. UM is a comprehensive system that distills traditional contemplative practices into practical instruction that allows any individual at any stage of meditation practice to go deeper in their insight and their ability to share with others. UM is also a secular form of meditation, which means it’s not religious in any way, so anyone, of any faith, can do it.

Just 10 minutes a day is all you need to start enjoying these benefits:

• The Core skills of Mindfulness Meditation

• 15 Minute Break

• Meditation #2: Relax and Recharge

• Meditation #3: Feeling Good and Nurturing Positivity




Session 2, Sunday February 3 1:00-5:00pm

• Follow up and Q&A from last week

• Meditation #4: Getting Into the Zone and Going with the Flow

* Dealing with Obstacles and Opportunities

• Meditation #5: DIY Meditation: Crafting Your Own Practice

• 15 Minute Break

• Incorporating Mindfulness Into Daily Life

• Meditation #6: Doing Nothing
