Yoga, Meet Science

At Connect Yoga, we are redefining the idea of a traditional yoga studio. You won't be doing repetitive sequences or always be confined within the four sides of a mat. We will encourage you to step outside of the yoga box and off your mat so you can move better in your day-to-day life, increase body awareness, and reduce pain and injuries.

Connect Yoga classes feature Yoga Tune Up®, which emphasize safe and functional movements, combined with dynamic strengthening and stretching, therapeutic self-massage and breathing strategies that will help you live better in your body. All of our classes are suitable for everyone. For the advanced practitioner, movements can be scaled up and for the absolute beginner, movements can be scaled down.

Yoga Tune Up is the perfect complement to all that you put your body through during the week. - Wanda H.

About Yoga Tune Up®

Yoga Tune Up® is a system that goes beyond traditional yoga and is the backbone of our studio. The work of Jill Miller is a unique whole-body fitness method that incorporates yoga, corrective exercise, and her Roll Model® Method self-massage techniques with Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls. We are proud to be the first studio in Toronto where Yoga Tune Up® is the core of our offerings. Classes are designed to inspire your knowledge of anatomy and get you moving in ways that open, energize and inform your tissues. You will leave each class feeling energized, calm and more connected to your body.

I look forward to each Yoga Tune Up session as an opportunity to maintain and improve my personal wellness. What a difference it is has made in my life. - Rita D.

Education is our philosophy at Connect Yoga. We believe that our learning is ongoing and we're willing to grow and adapt as new research uncovers deeper understanding of body mechanics. We'll have a regular schedule of classes for body maintenance as well as special workshops that help you go deeper in your body education. And of course, you'll also see a lot of Yoga Tune Up® Trainings and Immersions. Teachers from all fitness modalities and students seeking deeper knowledge will benefit from all the workshops and trainings we offer. (Because of our commitment to education, there may be times where classes will be cancelled. All efforts will be made to cause as little disruption as possible.)

Each class helps you remember who you are, what you’re supposed to be, and what you could become, both mentally and physically. - Donna O.
